Food price for 18-55?

that .8 difference in f stop is a big change in available light over what the 18-55 is gonna do for you. You're gonna have many more options with the sigma 2.8 than the 18-55

well for low light i always use my 50/ 1.8 the 18-55 would be for daytime landscapes and some group shots, some full body stuff outdoors

The title of the post is, "Food price for 18-55?" and before I opened it up I was thinking,"Oh, maybe three bags of groceries would be a good trade for an 18-55."

Rofl ouch Derrel! :). Yeah title was a stupid typo. Actually I looked again and the lens is $80. Is the 18-55 vr THAT bad?

the sigma 2.8 is $200...
so im paying 100 for extra .8 f stop?

$94 seems like a really affordable solution, and has VR, its refurbished and good condition

also consider the fact that its a constant 2.8 across the focal length then yes id think its worth it...

but like someone mentioned see if you can save up for an 18-105 or even the 18-200

from 18-50mm you can have your apeture at its highest 2.8.

the nikon 18-55mm is variable. starting at 3.5

I bought the 18-55 took some cool pics I'll put them up tomorrow ;)

took this after buying it
