Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
One of the posters here wanted to know what my photos looked like right out of the camera. He knew that I did a lot of post work for the client.

Our photos look pretty much like everyone elses out of the camera. The magic, at least in my client's eyes, is what we do afterwards.

Photoshop is really really really your friend. Learn it, Embrace it, Love it.

The below examples are right out of the camera. I shoot RAW and the only conversions done were JPG. All of the below examples were shot in the last month or so. Some aren't the exact photo, but in the same series. I have wonky workflo where I renumber each time so it was too difficult sometimes to grab the exact photo, but these are all within a click of the camera or two:

1. Lets start with something I just posted. Here is the original OOC:

and here is what became of it. (Lots of layer masks and some heavy painting)

The motorcycle shot looked like this when I took it:

But with some tender loving care, it ended up like this:

On this one, I punched up the color, and PSed out the blanket she was laying on. This one was hard:

which resulted in this final product:

So basically, the diffence is in how you do things. Some folks hate it. Others will pay a premium.

The main thing is to have a good shot to begin with. Not great but good. Light it right, pose it right, and the rest is gravy.

Danm... Why do you let people get to you like that?
