For my 100th post... could I get a little C&C on this 3-year-old?

Woo-hoo I'm no longer just moving on up, after this post.

Let me introduce you to little Jack, just look at those eyes! Okay I'm posting like I'm on my blog now...

Anyway this was the first time I used my father's 85mm 1.8 lens... and I think I was loving the 1.8 a little too much. But I absolutely love this lens. Unfortunately it's a film lens on my D50 which makes 85mm a little too close for my comfort zone in shooting portraits... I'm saving up for a 50mm.

So give it to me, how did I do?

Cute kid. Caring mom.

1. I like.
2. Nothing you can do. Mom's skin is burnt.
3. Eyes OOF. Focus is on the towel.
4&5. Focus on the eyes.

Well my friend is going to love you... that's his grandmother... Je-ma actually lmao. Yes, she's a sun goddess and can't stay out of it.

I was trying to focus on the eyes, and I thought I did, but I can see now where the towel is the same distance as his eyes it is a bit off. I hate how his eyes are dark in all the outdoor pictures... I was going to use my flash with an umbrella, but it was too windy. I thought about putting my speedlight on a bracket, but I just didn't. His eyes need a catchlight!

Thanks for the comments :D
