Yeah, I used it with my Panasonic FZ7 ultrazoom camera and was surprised how sharp it is. I mean it is just a cheap piece of glass and gives some nice results. The DOF really is so shallow that I actually used it in burst mode and hopefuly one or two photos out of six presented the subject in focus. But remember you don't have to use it with the maximum magnification, obvious but easy to forget when you are amazed with the results you get while shooting on the tele end.
