I think he was refering to the way the trees are in a nice neat perfectly straight line.

That's usually how it is when they were planted - perfectly straight rows, as opposed to the randomness of a forest that wasn't 'planted'.

Love it! The verticality of the trunks is balanced by the horizontality of the branches while the fallen tree perfectly breaks up the repetition and creates a focal point. It makes me want to see what's at the other end.
