forget earthquakes..how about...

tornados are wicked scary.

I survived one in Georgia, USA way back '94. The sky had literally turned green, and everything was glowing a hue of green. The birds stopped singing all of a sudden. It was the eeriest silence in my life. Then hail the of baseballs fell. We ran for cover inside the house. The forest next to the house was just twisted timbers of desolation. But the house escaped harm. We never saw the the bugger coming, but we heard a frieght train come through. I think 30 odd people died from a whole serious of tornados in alabama and georgia.
