Nice shots.. The only thing is the crops are too tight. If you leave some space in front of the cars it gives the feel that the car got someplace to go.

Try and lower the shutter speed and pan them through the corner, they look a bit static

I really wanted to. But I had a fence and light posts in the way.

    Thanks

Well, then he did a good job. He's saying he couldn't adjust the frame at all because he would have gotten them in frame.

Yes but the shutter speed is a bit too high

So you would slow the shutter speed to get the blurred motion? What about the ISO to use? I am asking because I will be taking the same shots this spring of SCCA club racing and solo2 events.

I use very slow shutter speeds so i use iso200 which isd the default on the 1D
If they are going fast you can get movement with faster s/s this is 1/160

This is 1/40 at about 100mph

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's much appreciated.

Gary-What I was trying to get at was that if I would have slowed it down any more I would have had posts blocking the car. That was unfortunatley, the slowest I could go.
