Fossil Falls

1st shots with the new 350D :mrgreen: These are from a place called Fossil Falls. It's an area in the middle of the desert that used to have active volcanoes over 400,000 years ago. The lava flowed into a portion of the Owens River and cooled. Very neat place.

Breathtaking!

The second made me ... gasp!
It is sooooo beautiful with a sky like this and its composition and framing enhancing the drama up there in that sky. That, combined with the shade of green on the ground and ... I would buy this as a poster if I could!

I sure also love, love, love the green of the tufts of grass in the third, but the blurred parts of lava rocks in the foreground distract me not only a little... Though I think I see that you wanted to capture the colours of the lichen that grows on the rocks with this one.

The last is once again great but cannot just QUITE compete with the second. But it is following that one on the heels .
