Found a Kingfisher Nest

Came across this nest and messed up the first shoot because of bright sunlight on this contrasty bird. I went back yesterday with overcast conditions. Could have used some fill flash, but I was afraid to scare them away. The branch they were using when I first arrived had a nasty dirt background. The crazy part is that I put out a brach as a "suggested" perch right in-line with my lens/blind, and they used it immediately!

Wow, the shots are so close you can even see the dirt on his beak in the second shot. Love the dof. Verrrrrry nice pics.

P.S. Your description of how you got the shot is priceless!
