A couple friends and I heard about it, and we finally found the cave. Required climbing down a cliff and scrambling over some slippery rocks at low tide, but we made it.

It was used my smugglers during the prohibition era or so the "legends" say
 
Pretty cool shots.

I used to work at a big Estate in Sands Point,NY that a pirate had supposedly buried his treasure in the 1700's. It was funny because we would basically fight each other if a hole had to be dug outside. Never did find anything.

that's where we got the idea to go. There was definitely a chance that the camera could have gotten dunked, but we're all rock climbers, so we weren't too worried.
