This was a gift to the University of Maryland from the Classes of 1999 and 2002 (I think).

Thanks for looking.

very cool, but black eyes? I guess they had to ...

Kermit even got a STATUE somewhere?!?!?
That is cooler than I thought it could be!
:D
Very nice.
I like the way he looks - being in deep conversation - in the first.
Then we see WHO he talks to (not that I would know who that is but..) ... cute :D.

Thanks, guys.

Yea, you need black eyes when it's made of metal.

LaFoto, Kermit, and all the original muppets, were created by Jim Hensen (SP), who is the guy Kermmie is talking to. Hensen went to the University of Maryland as an undergraduate, thus the gift from the 1999 graduating class.

Thanks again.

I spent two years in Annapolis Hall when it was first converted from a gym....is it still there.

Are you a student there?

I'm not sure where Annapolis Hall is. I'm most familiar with Denton Community as that is where my sister lived and worked when she was there.

No, I'm not a student. I got my Master's from UMCP in 1999.

If you've been long for a while, you'd probably not recognize the campus. There's a new performing arts center, a new alumni hall, new dorms, a new gym...it's crazy.

Annapolis Hall is/was at the entrance of the South entrance off US1. Anyway that was many, many years ago.

That is awesome.

Jim Henson...I can't even put into words, just how much I admire Jim Henson...his creative genius was a gift to humanity.

Oh, I know where you're talking about. Yea, it's still there. I never knew it used to be a gym. Interesting.

Thanks for the map. However, as I remember Annapolis Hall was the first building from the South entrance not Montgomery Hall. It must have been torn down. Check it out if you can.
I remember stealing food trays from the dinning hall and sleigh riding in the snow down the hill in front of the library. Look like they built up that area. Memories….WOW! and thanks.....

Which library? McKeldon or Hornbake?

Here's some links to pics from the campus...some are better than others:

Great campus shots....I don't remember any name for the library, but it looks like the McKeldon. It was close to the student union building.

Ok, Ok, I'm talking back in '56, 57, 58, as he sighs "where has the time gone????"
