From a Taj Mahal concert last night

    Where I live is super small and low key, but from time to time we have some pretty good musicians come here. Because of the low key-ness, most times you're able to walk right up to the stage. This was taken with a 50mm lens; usually, I don't have a "need" for a zoom lens (want is a different story), but last night I would've liked one. This photo is quite cropped, but I think it turned out ok.

    C&C if you wish. After uploading it, I think it could use a little fill light. It was a little difficult to get the exposure correct because his skin tone is quite different than his shirt and lei.

    Looks great to me. Retained a lot of detail for a crop too can sorta see some sweat on his brow.

    It's a keeper. Perfect exposure and he really stands out against the dark background,

    awesome. Which camera/lens did you shoot with, and at what speed? (sorry if I missed this somewhere)

    Thanks a lot! I shot this with a Nikon D700 with a 50mm 1.8 lens. The aperture was 2.8, ISO was 800, shutter speed was 1/200.
