Frozen wave

I saw/caught my very first alligator gar below the dam there at Overholser. I had no idea what it was exactly. I just knew I wasn't sticking my fingers near those teeth!

Didn't realize they were in that lake, but I've seen my share of them in and around Texhoma.

Pretty skyline... That wave is so cool, I never seen anything like that before.

Thank you. I agree, never seen anything like that either. So I flipped the camera upside down on the tripod to get a REALLY low angle and try to feature it in the foreground.

Looks like you achieved your goal... Flipping the camera over, how clever... So simple and yet I wouldn't have thought of it. Now I might.

I have a long center bar to my tripod, so getting on the ground is impossible. Solution is to remove the bar, flip it upside down and a hang the camera upside down. Take the images and rotate the 180 degrees in LR or PS and there you have it. I can touch the hotshoe to the ground this way.

The only issue is you have to think about everything upside down to get the image and focus and such. But it can be worth it.
