Question, does it have numbers on the backing paper or dots?

Just loading a film into the isolette, and wound on quite a bit and got to a dot looking through the window at the back.

Is that the start of the film, or should I carry on winding till I get a number?

TIA

I don't recall reala having numbers as it goes. The start with arrow is 24cm ish from the end and the first frame is about another 18cm. I'd say you're probably there.

Different manufacturers have different markings for the 120 film. Keep in mind that if you saw the first dot appear in your red window there are a few more until the 1st frame. Usually there ara between 5 and 6 dots, each one larger and larger, until you see a number. You must see a number to know which frame you're shooting. With that in mind, roll some more film until you get to a number.

OK, I found it - there are numbers, but the dots go smaller and smaller :D
