my first day with my new D70. please tell me any thoughts, good or bad that you might have about this shot.

i like it but i'm thinking it should be a bit more in focus unless my monitor is acting up.

I like the DOF as well. In the background however there is something blue that is bugging me a bit. Can't tell what it is, but I keep finding myself looking at it. Also, I'm not sure composition wise what this offers....

A lighter patch on top and the left of the head is also deviating the attention. I think that the blue thing in the background also draws attention from the main subject.
