Gary Fong Whale Tale Gel Inserts or Flaps?

Hey gang,

I just about have everything I need to start becoming a stobist. I now have a 580EX I to compliment my 430EX and a Whale Tail Studio.

I would like to know if any of you use the Whale Tail and whether you use the gel inserts or the flaps, or both. If you've knowledge about the key differences then please share this knowledge.

I tried GF blog etc. but his whole site is too sell sell sell and advertise centric.

I got this Whale Tale off eBay for $60 shipped instead of $106 from GF's site. I'm shooting my first wedding this June and I want to keep my lighting simple/stupid and I'm glad I'm using this piece of tupperware...it works great.
