i normally don't shoot urban stuff, but i thought i'd try something a bit different... took these the other day at Gasworks Park in Seattle. the park is located on the site of an old coal gasification plant that operated from 1906 till 1956. the city bought the land in the 60's, and opened it as a park in 1972. they left most of the old plant's structures standing. i went purposely on a cloudy day, wanting to capture a feeling of gloom and foreboding, like maybe something out of "Blade Runner", or maybe Chernobyl... 5D, 24-135 @ various settings. processed in Photomatix.
