I'll get a 1gb sandisk with my camera. I've herd the stories of generic cards failing and such but just as a backup with not very important pictures or anything. In the small chance I need more space, do you think its worth it? Cause I can pick up a 1gb card for around $15 or $20. Or just save up for a name brand?

I just bought a 1GB SanDisk from Cord Camera si I'd have to say no.

It wasn't the high speed variant but it would work for your use.

I bought mine to use with a Palm Tungsten E2.
