Get a D90 or save up some more for D7000?

I hate to pop your bubble, but the D7000 does not have a magnesium-alloy body.

All it has is magnesium-alloy top and back covers.

Thank you! I was looking for the same thing.

But still, if you can continue with what you have in hand until the D7000 is out and all is good, then buy one. THat is what I would do.

But, then again, the posts about buying the D90 at a great price now due to the D7000 coming out is very true too. It will also do all that you would like.

Im in the same situation i have $1000 cash to buy a camera and was thinking of the D90 or the D3100. But after thinking about it was going to save for the D7000 but it has just come up for preorder at future shop. And its $1599 i dont know if i should save up or get the D3100 which is $699 and get a lens.or the D90 is $1099 with a 18-105VR lens kit i dont know the best thing to do as it will be my first SLR.
