As far as your edit goes, it looks like you just discolored the snow, played with the purple and blue tones.

haha yeah, I didn't do too many different things, but the ones I did I did a lot. Basically, much more color and a few filters, I'm dont remember which ones exactly. There are a lot... It will take me a while to get used to this program.

But dont worry, I won't post the gory results here.
