glacier shot...which one?

    just wondering what you have to say about them & which one you like best (& why if it's not asking too much) they're very similar, but notably different source photos.

    I can't see a difference...

    but i like the shot, i love idea of that water in the foreground.

    which glacier is this?

    The first one seems less grainy. I like that one better.

    I think the first one has more contrast so more of the details come out of the mountain above the tree line on the right of the screen. I like the shot because it has just enough in the picture to keep you busy looking around. Overall, I have to say good work!! Keep it up.

    I disagree. I think definitely the second one. The first one seems a bit overexposed.

    First one. The second one forces your eyes to the lake. While the first one both the bottom and top are more of 'equals', your eyes focus on both equally rather than focusing on just the bottom. As far as exposure, they're equally overexposed a tad at the top, so I don't choose based on just that.

    the glacier is in alaska. i can't remember which one though :p

    if i combined the 2 shots, i'd probably have 1 good shot... i like that the 2nd shot has more detail in the glacial flow & trees around the lake. the first shot has better balance in the lake & sky as well as detail in the mountains.

    any other comments?
