    BTW if you ever decide to wade into a glacier fed lake, be prepared for the cold and silty sand.

    Ray, This is taken inside Portage Valley, 5 glaciers within a 5 mile drive.

    Matt and Terri, I have been traveling a lot for work. Usually to out of reach areas.

    These are cool!
    The oversharpened (look like it, anyway) black and white ones are fascinating. They take up some sort of copper-engraving-character even. Very nice. That is a kind of treatment I like - and it wouldn't work this well if the photo as such weren't good in the first place.

    good to see ya around again, Gero. Fantastic shots, definately worth the cold feet for them. Its great to see shots of the unspoiled Alaskan wilderness, thanks for sharing them :D
