ok, so I'm going to my parents house on Friday. They had left for Vegas, so I went to take care of their animals. Well 2 minutes from my exit I hit a bit of traffic, so I slow down then stop. I hear this loud screeching noise, and I think to my self (yikes that sounds like its gona be painful) then I hear the crash, then I feel the crash. Some yahoo was not paying attention and was going like 40-50 and crashed into the back of my truck. I have a Ford F-250 huge beast of a truck, so I just felt a slight rocking motion. I get out of my truck and peak around the bed and see this tiny little ford escort slightly under my bumper, the horn wont stop, the head light is in the free way, air bags deployed, it was a mess.
I see 4 guys get out, 3 older guys like in their 50's and a kid about in his 20's. I call High Way Patrol at that point, I go to make sure everyone is ok. Nobody speaks English.....finally everyone lets us over to the shoulder. They start telling me its no problem don't worry kind of thing. I look at their car which the horn is still going off, and radiator fluid is leaking. I'm like no its not ok, some guys stops and pulls over to see if everything is ok (which in California is rare). The guys get the car started and start to take off, the nice guy takes off after them, while another car that pulled over takes the rest of the guys and takes off.
Sigh...so I had got the license plate number and everything of the car that hit me and gave it to the nice police man. The nice guy who stopped came back to say he couldn't find them. Doubt they would get very far.
Thank god I had that truck, never been in an accident before...that kinda sucked....

No doubt they had good reason to run (no insurance), and whatever damages you have to the truck will be on you to pay - but the bottom line, is at least you're all right!
