Photos NOT OK to edit
This has been my "nemesis bird" for several years, as I have tried without success to get a decent photo of one. Yesterday, I found a flock of them bouncing around in the branches of some small evergreens near a pond, and this one landed on a branch about 10 feet in front of me and actually sat still for nearly 5 minutes, looking around but not moving. It was back among some branches and twigs, and I had to resort to manual focus to get the shots, since even the center "micro-spot" focus point on my 7DII would not lock on properly. But my drought is ended, and this bird is my nemesis no more! :) 7DII, Tamron 150-600 @ 400mm, 1/250 @ f/8, ISO 1600...

Really nice.

The little ones are the hardest, aren't they? They never sit still!
