Either way is o.k. In your original, you've got the fish balanced with stones of the same color, so all is well. It could also be centered, with the stones cropped off.You might be right. BTW: what is the definition of "domesticated"? If you can milk it, it is domesticated. If you can't milk it, then it must be "wild". Just thought you might need to know.
