Got a headache yet?

oops I don't think i explained my headaches very well originally.
When I get this weird migraine-like blind spot I don't get any pain at all. It just affects my vision. If you wanna see what I see when I get these spots I found a picture that describes it perfectly at http://www.eyeguys.net/ocularmigraine.html Except my patches aren't coloured like those ones, they're sort of just missing or filled in with whatever colour is around.

I used to have migraines and wouldn't ever every want them back - or wish them on my worst enemy! They're awful! :-(

That's sort of like mine except "In the typical episode, the visual disturbance lasts 15 – 20 minutes and then disappears. A mild headache may or may not follow the disturbance. Many ocular migraine sufferers complain only of fatigue after the visual disturbance.". Mine lasted for over an hour or more. And it wasn't a "mild" headache.

I'm with you on never wanting them back. My head aches and I feel sick just thinking about them.

well I have a headache after drinking too much the day before... how's it called? hangover? :) yeah.. heh and I feel the pain in my head after the whole night of learnig. I have no idea how to solve it... but it happens twice or 3 times a month so it's not often...

I get them if I don't consume enough water, spend too much time in the sun or expose myself to loud noises for prolounged periods. I've had the odd occasion where i've been on the edge of laying a pavement pizza but think that was the same thing that Mentos just described.

Mentos: Do you find when you're hungover, you're allergic to bright light and loud noises aswell?

Hmm well my dad works for a Uk based optical company that specialises in tinted lenses for people with learning difficulties like dyslexia.. but one rather handy side effect they noticed while playing with these lenses is that they have the potential to stop headaches.. I used to get shocking headaches when I was a child but then my dad tested me on a machine the company developed and made me a pair of tinted specs (in my case a kind of purple colour) and they solved the headache problems for me quicker than painkillers. Bizarrely while modelling some of the glasses for pamphlets we also discovered that if I look through green tints for too long I get a headache...

If any of you headache migrane sufferers want any more info the web site for the company is http://www.ceriumvistech.co.uk/ My dad frequently travels all over the world to various optical companies setting them up with this stuff so i'm sure if you look around you should be able to find somewhere that will know what you are on about.. Hope that helps ;)

That is so cool! I never though about different colours giving me headaches. Although it does start to make sense,,, if I think about it. I'm living with this guy in France and his appartment is basically all reds and oranges and yellows. My house back in Australia was all greens, blues, purples, browns. Although it's probably just my ****ty bed here that's making it worse.

headache everyday - i work for the government. i know its mostly stress related, but i get them anyway. taking a stroll with the camera usually relieves it.

Not too often, usually just stress related or not getting enough sleep. I know I don't drink enough water daily either and that doesn't help. I've had two migraines in my life, both resulted in the temporary loss of sight and happened during the pregnancy of my first son. Scary at the time and I am quite thankful I'm not a regular migraine suffered!

Does anyone know what causes that tunnel vision crap? When you're looking at something 3 feet away but it feels like 30?
I hate those headaches you get if you wake up too soon.
