Grad shoot for C&C

Grad or senior photos are not a popular thing in my neck of the woods. I was, however, contacted do a grad wanting some shots in her dress. C&C is greatly appreciated.

Most of them were way overprocessed for my tastes, but I LOVED 3.

GREAT shots, I really love #2 and #4, great composition. I really like the location of #4 make you feel like you can see all sides of her dress. Very cool, thanks for sharing!

I TOTALLY disagree with manaheim on the overprocessed thing. I LOVE them! Today's senior are looking for this style. They want soooo much spunk and pizazz and bright colors. These are spectacular! My least fave is #1. She's a little pink.

Well, I totally agree with Manaheim, but that's just because in this instance we have similar taste. Just a bit too much processing. But if the client likes it, that's what matters.

Thanks for the comments. When speaking with the client, she really liked some of my photos where I pushed the processing, and that is why I chose to do that here. I agree that its not for everyone.

This was my first grad shoot and I will have a few more I the next 2 weeks.

the only thing that i noticed (and im sure it's just the perspective....)

in #2, her feet look massive compared to her tiny frame.
it looks like this was shot pretty wide so maybe that's it?

Exactly my thoughts. I was gonna ask if you tried scaling down her feet. No matter... you handled it well. That second one is a real stand-out.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I will definately see what I can do about those feet.

The family made a very decent order today, 2-16x20 prints, 48 wallets, 15-5x7 prints, and 2 coffee table style albums. They also asked for a bunch more business cards, and since showing this grad some proofs on Facebook - I have had 16 new people become customers on my website.

As music says... if they like it, perfect. Odds are the other customers liked the style as well, so no reason to stop. Keep at it and keep sharing. Always interesting to see what works.
