Grainy Capture

[Essence Of Perception]

Well, I know the image isn't that great, had some issues with it. I took it with my Canon AE-1 35mm SLR, and it was the very first hour I ever used it. I was hoping to capture the look of old and forgotten, as if someone forgot about this lost soul. Any critique is welcome.

You know, I really like this. I think you got what you were after and although not technically a good image artisticly it has a good communication of emotion.

Very interesting effect on the chain fence in the upper half of your image; it truly looks like you have captured a lonesome soul...

It's a nice image. The out of focus fence in front adds a nice tough. I feel the dog is a bit to tight to the edge of the frame. I might crop a bit off the top as well.
