Great Horned Owls.....Babies have arrived

    The babies have hatched......

    There are two in the nest, but I only saw the top of the second head pop up. I will probably be shooting these guys about once or twice a week, as time allows, so everyone will get to see these guys grow up...

    Unfortunately, I kinda had to blow out the white on the top of his head in order to get the detail in his face. Hopefully, as these guys darken up, I won't have to worry about this.

    These guys are sooo difficult to find but to photo---wow, I'm impressed.
    They will darken up. I would love to see you get some of the parents bringing food to these young'ns.

    Keep this thread going...a great subject that comes with its own story plot...

    Oh wow, here they are! I am thrilled! I don't mind the bit of blown feathers AT ALL! I mean, to be able to photograph these baby owl AT ALL is ... great! Keep us informed, "FRANKY" (you will always be THAT in my mind, and not the complicated spelling-version of the same :D)
