Hi there.

I have always been interested in photography and have finally taken it up as a hobby just recently. Just after the holidays I bought my first dslr, a Nikon D40, along with the Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens. Great camera, I'm enjoying it a lot, and although I have a loooong way to go I'm having a good time and taking a ton of shots.

I look forward to some helpful feedback and insightful conversation. :thumbup:

Also, quick question: right now I just touch up my photos using iPhoto on my Mac. Would GIMP afford me any more easy editing techniques?

gimp is alright but i would stick to what your used to
