Greetings from Spokane

Been lurking and occasionally commenting for a couple weeks, so I suppose it's about time I introduce myself:

I'm Tabe and I'm from Spokane, WA. Grew up in Pontiac, MI, spent a few years in Colorado and now live in the beautiful Inland Northwest. I work in IT as a software QA guy and dabble in photography a bit. I most enjoy doing sports photography but haven't yet invested in the expensive lenses to do it "right". Lately I've been getting requests from family to do senior photos or prom photos. Don't really have the eye for that stuff but I'm trying

As for gear, I've got a Canon T4i with the kit 18-55 and 55-250 lenses and a Canon 50/f1.8.

I am hardly an expert which is how I came across this forum. Did a Google search for "photography beginner forum" and ended up here. So I'm no expert but I won't hesitate to voice my opinion, LOL.

Anyway, that's me. And, yes, my avatar is a Simpsons caricature version of the real-life me.
