Growing Snake

    Here you can see a snake grow, in one picture.
    These are the snakes skin, after the snake has shed (crawled out of her old skin) These arent all her sheds, but some of the went down the drain because of different reasons. The largest skin is about 1.20m. That isnt the snakes lenght, because the skin stretched abit.

    This second pic shows some detail on the head. Here you can see that the eye-caps are still one. So yes, when a snake sheds, the eyes shed too. Pretty funky eh :D

    how long in time between the shortest and longest skin?

    I thought it would of been longer that.

    So she sheds about every 8 weeks?

    the detail on the head shot is amazing, I'd love to see a shot of it taken at a lower angle

    here you go. Oh and the skin is inside out and thats why the eye-caps are pointing inwards.

    And at average, yes Spot sheds every 8 weeks. But not really, since it all depends on age, feeding and so on.
