The second crop feels more natural to me.... and I think it shows more of the location (I assume that is were he works or something). Helps tell a little more story.

I like the first crop but maybe with his fingers not cut off if that's possible. I like how you notice the tunnel more when it's the first crop. cool picture.

I prefer the first crop, except I'm missing the fingertips. Did you try rotating this cropped version slightly? .... just one or two degrees CCW? And did you try toning down the bight area in the background... next to his face?

Again, very nice.

I'd vote one fingers or no fingers.

depends on the mood you're going for... #1 makes him seem more personable, it's more intimate. #2 makes him more powerful and authoritative, more unattainable (the bars in front help with that).

and . . . now that i have the film developed i can see the one shot i took on the mamiya of this guy, here it is.
i think this one is my favorite of them.
