Half-pink egret

The flood went away a bit and I saw a flock of egrets fly away. One of them was half-pink/half-white. My friends think it was a spoonbill but I know it wasn't. Lots of crawfish have been becoming available to them which I think caused the colors. Anyway, I found the feather and staged it

They're ok.. To me, the subject is not that interesting/does not tell a story. I think part of the reason it doesn't interest me is that it's overtly staged.

Did you get any shots of the birds flying or the feather where you found it?

Edit: The birds flew away as I got there. I may go back and see if I can get lucky.

Yup. They hang around a gulley where there are lots of turtles and usually around the cows also. Think I need a telescopic lense to get great bird pics?
