Handcoloring?

Anyone know of a supplier of Marshall's Photo Oils (or any other brand) in UK or France?

Seems impossible to order from the US, because of restrictions on shipping hazardous substances.

Thanks,
Richard

I am not sure about anything in that specific area, but have you looked at freestylephoto.biz? They might be able to ship to you.

Freestyle stopped carrying them as of the fall 2011 catalog it appears. I have tried the Arista kit. While I like the color selection and find them to blend well, they can be rather transparent and tend to grabs inconsistently when layering; resulting in patchiness.

I recommend experimenting with regular fine art oil like Winsor Newton and using vegetable oil as the extender. Many times my students have used fine art tube oil paints out of shear necessity to create a good vibrant hue of magenta. And it has worked without fail every time.

Once the Arista kit runs out, I'll be ordering small tubes of Winsor Newton paint instead of purchasing a photo-oil paint kit.
