:hugs: to Alex for posting his photos. The extra wide one is cool!

And this is for David, for today:

Seventeenth century version of the 'playball' smilie? ( :playball: )
img1877prd1lp2.jpg

Marching to the beat of different drummers
img1882prd4xk8.jpg

Since they're carrying pikes, I guess that makes them a bunch of pikers?
img1882prd5ch5.jpg

img1883prd6kt3.jpg

Walking with a swagger and a sash-eh?

Just Dandy

It was getting near the end of the parade and still no beheading. Maybe the cavalry was going to bring the prisoner forward? I mean c'mon, what's a commemoration without a recreation?
img1912prd8ep1.jpg

img1914prd9lp0.jpg

Nope, still no beheading. Maybe this priest was off to give the last rites?
img1902prd7ay9.jpg

Oh well, the parade was over and it was time to warm up. This clever bloke was chatting up the ladies, 1649 style

In the rub a dub

Ferny orders a round and the barmaid presented him with the bill...
tpfjan-59.jpg

He eventually stems the emotion whilst Dave enjoys the best pint of his life
tpfjan-60.jpg

After tasting his beer, he realised that it was a sweet pint and worth every penny
tpfjan-64.jpg

Alex had them lined up as usual
tpfjan-65.jpg

Ferny helped Dave to clean his lens
tpfjan-66.jpg

Colin seemed to have been taking tips from Michael Jackson and hopped into his oxygen tent
tpfjan-70.jpg

Mooooodeehhh! eh?
tpfjan-71.jpg

Jeanne was complaining about the low light levels in the Imperial...
tpfjan-72.jpg

After much research we worked out what the problem was...
tpfjan-73.jpg

Ferny had a happy hug from Dave
tpfjan-76.jpg

and Becky started sporting a Des Lyneham (thats a british thing)
tpfjan-78.jpg

Jeanne sank another leffe and in a drunken fit of violence tried to put the window through - but looked kind of sweet after the rage
tpfjan-79.jpg

Dave tried to count the amount of times his triumph had broken down
tpfjan-80.jpg

Outside, no-one was coming near the pub
tpfjan-81.jpg

Not surprising really as it was a dangerous place to be with dive bombers around the place
tpfjan-82.jpg

Then Dave and Jeanne broke out into a broadway musical style tap dance in the street
tpfjan-84.jpg

Then Ferny ate my pie - I never did get any mushy peas :(
tpfjan-88.jpg

And that was the end of that, on the tube, on the bus and woke up thirty seconds before we arrived in Oxford.

It was a cracking day out, some great people and a good laugh - heres to you guys and gals who made it what it was, and here's to the next adventure wherever that may be! [insert pint of beer being cheered sort of here] ;)
