Has anyone heard of WPPI?

Has anyone heard of or is a member of WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International)?

I am thinking about joining but wanted to get your feed back first.

im not impressed with the member benfits. Best thing it has is you can advertise to cumstomers you belong to this professional organization.

i thought the same thing too about the member benifits. I can get a free membership since I am a member of NILMDTS but other wise i wouldnt even consider it since there is another I have my eye on.

I just get their free magazine. I saw no need to pay to join. Frankly, I don't think most customers even care whether you are part of an organization.

Personally, I think it's pretty good. You get the mag, and it's stellar. You have the convention with is mindblowing. You get discounts out the yoo hoo on products and albums.
They have terrific seminars, and killer contests.

Other than that, yeah it sucks. LOL.

I have not had a chnce to join yet but it was strongly suggested by one of the guys I worked for. He thought it would be the best wat to go as far as liability's sake.

Bellacat - I am a member of NILMDTS, too. Whats this about getting a free membership because of it?
