how interesting. Now I know why vista doesnt play fair with jpeg itpc data. Its got its own new format...

Seems osX and vista natively support HD format, which is not High Definition, they just picked lame letters so it would sound cool.

It sounds cool, but, microsoft promised to make it open source, yet its not yet listed on their list of open stuff... It really needs to be open source or else nobody will engineer anything for it for fear that MS will sue them. If MS doesnt come through on its promise then its doomed ....

what do you guys think about this news ????

I think it sounds interesting, I wonder what will actually come of it.

i didnt read the article now, but i read it a while back, was the point that HD is supposed to be as good, or better image quality but a smaller file size? i think that would be a nice thing to have, but what would really be nice is if digicams would be able to shoot in hd format , i have a sony alpha, so i should be using raw, i know, but it sure is easier and more space efficient to use jpegs...

well, lets hope it takes off, the results could be really good for everyone.

Personally, as a photographer the specs look awsome. I just hope it gets

supported by the browsers.
