I personally think that with HDR you shouldn't notice anything was done.

I agree with benlonghair, it does seem over saturated in the greens but not real bad.

The detail in the trees, even all the way back, is quite nice.

I would de-saturate it a little. If you were to print this (at least on my monitor) the greens would be blown pretty bad.

But I might be wrong.

Yup, pretty well done. The greens are a little intense, but nicely handled.

I just dont think HDR really improves this image, The shot is a just a bit too bland for me.

Ok, desaturated a little more, does that work? :D Thanks for the help and comments everyone.

As to the metering on my camera, just point at the subject I want to meter and depress the shutter release halfway correct? I have a Nikon D80, read through the manual but it didn't mention how to meter. Thanks!

I also desaturated my first HDR attempt as that seemed to be a problem with that one as well.

Thank you guys for all the help and comments!

Newly desaturated version of the forest looks spot-on.

I still say the HDR of the car is kinda a waste of time. (being direct, not trying to be mean)
