    I like the composition. Sure is a dead sky outside the window, though. Cloudy day? Don't mean for the nitpick to overwhelm my initial comment--good shot.

    I like the composition as well- nice shot! Interesting purple cast on some of the rafters.

    No, I don't think it is too much. And I am sure no other way of creating a photo of this roof would have given you this (certainly desired by you) result. Such detail would not have shown in any single exposure shot.
