    Hello,

Im shooting a lot of flat art work and the pictures are going to be used for reprints. Ive been doing a lot of test and am now able to make the photo look like or very close to the original artwork at 100% size.

My questions is how much to charge my client. This is not a one time thing she is going to use me as her main photographer. I am shooting numerous sizes.

    small 1'x1' -1.5'x1.5'

    med 3'x3'-3'x3.5'

    large-long-2'x5'

So what rates would you suggest. Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Welcome!!!!!!! I shoot a lot of copywork Charging 15% over your cost is the norm. I charge a much higher rate, but that is a whole other story.

As an artist who does large pieces of work, I can tell you that finding a scanner for them is almost impossible in most areas of the country, unless you're lucky enough to live in a big city.

Are you going to do the printing yourself, or just provide the photo on a CD?

Thanks to all that replied. Yea the paintings are def to big for a scanner. For this client the have thier own wide format printer so I will just be giving them a photocd. so i guess thats my other question how much to charge for the cd?? and the time for the photos??
