Hello everyone! I've been perusing the site for a few weeks now as I was trying to decide on my first DSLR camera and getting an idea on just what I could do with said camera. I have always loved photography and taking pictures, but I was just getting tired of the lack of the ability to adjust shots for lighting/motion/etc with my point and shoot.

At any rate, I got a D5000 and I love it thus far. I can't wait to get to posting some pics for C&C and get my feet wet in this world of photography.

hey, welcome. I'm looking to purchase my first camera as well.. haven't decided yet but I'm curious.. are you shooting with your 55mm lens or did you buy one straight out the gate.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I'm shooting with the kit lens that came with it.
