I just bought my first SLR (Nikon D5100) and decided to join up. Looking forward to taking pics and looking at yours!
Is anyone else here in Montreal? Do people to meetups or whatever?

There are a number of TPF members who are from Montreal. Not all post frequently. Have you also considered joining one of the local photo clubs? Like LCC (Lakeshore Camera Club) or the MCC (Monteal Camera Club)... Both clubs are very active and have some very impressive photographers as members. There are also clubs on the south shore and in Laval that are very good. So, welcome!
