A D40 or Canon X-series would do just fine for her at this point, what's the point of having a 1-2G camera that you may only use every so often.

Dude a D40 isnt worth it to buy even my dad who has some camera background said its not worth i to buy it and the D60 and D80 arent that expensive when she said she wanted to be a pro if she wants to go pro then u want a good start
