My name is Todd, born and raised on long island new york, 14 years old and i am a starter to photography gradually progressing as my life moves on, i need some help with my camera. I have a brand new canon xs body and an older canon ef 28-90mm lens, every few pictures i take with it the camera will say error i need to clean the lens contacts, i have done so with a qtip and rubbing alchol and let it dry, and it is still doing this when i put the lens back on the body and start to take some pics. any help? thanks

Hi Todd and welcome to TPF! Sorry I don't have any particular ideas about your camera but there is a lot of good information on the site. Try posting your question in a section that gets some more traffic. It might be an issue between the older lens and the new body.
