congrats on the new gig!
one thing i do regret is having to move just when i was about to assistant a couple who are full time wedding photographers. I know that i would've learned alot and they were willing to help me create my own portfolio.

The best way to learn is by doing. And when you're following someone who already knows what they're doing... right on!

Actually from what he was saying it sounds like he doesn't really need help. He said he doesn't really need assistants that often but he'll see how I am and stuff and if I work well I can start being a second shooter.
