help please

hey everyone,
i'm very new to photography. basically, i got given a digital camera for my birthday. and i'm trying to find my way around it. its a panasonic lumix tz4 - and i can't figure out how to change the shutter speed or apeture. can anybody help me??

Umm, read the manual? Sorry I can't be of more help, but seriously, thats why they write a user manual.

From what I read/saw - you can't.. it handles it for you.

yes, this is a point & shoot, doing exactly what the name implies, if you would like to change the aperture and shutter speed it would have to be with a dslr.

Alot of point and shoots allow for manual shutter and aperture control, just not this particular model.
