I found these old pictures of my Aunt and my cousin who passed away 2years ago on the 10th of this month.
I'd like to do something special with this photos- possibly a canvas- but I am totally new to photography let alone editing with photoshop and I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on how I could *fix* these photos?
I have PS Cs3 and totally new to editing...
how do you get the 'blurriness' to semi-disapear?

THANKS!!!!

that blurriness was intentional from what I can tell. It's called soft-focus.

is there a way to fix 'soft focus'?
I didn't take these photos- but it's all what I have and scanned in.

thanks!

Scanners work in much the same way as a digital camera, you could try unsharp mask in PSCS, try not to oversharpen it though. H

I've give the color one a go, usm at 150, threshold of 2 and radius of .5, it sharpens fine, you still need to do some work on the colour though as its biased to yellow. H

I don't see any problem here, be very careful not to over do the editing. I'd just fix the colour.

if you click on the black and white circle on your layers pallete and then click on color balance you can move the sliders around untill you like the colour. It's very user friendly, curves can be a little confusing.
