Shot with the Rebel XTI & 70-200 f/4 L. C&C welcome.
Nice capture, there is lots of expression on the lion's face.
Thanks, it's actually a Florida panther, her name is Lucy and she is a little over a year old. She is at the Lowery Park zoo in Tampa.
Yes? You called?
On a serious note, that's a great shot. The poor panther looks sad...
nice shot! it looks kinda sad.
I agree - a very sad face in this capture - I think using black and white really adds to that feeling as well!
I agree, she looks quite troubled.
Ah sorry, in California we call panthers mountain lions. A mountain lion and a lion are very different though, so you're right.
Thanks everyone for your comments.
She actually was in a real good mood and was chirping at me and being very playfully. Fortunately, I got their right after the zoo opened and their was no one around but me. It was kinda like she was showing off and posing for the camera?
hehe best time to arrive (especially at zoos before all the screaming monki---kids appear )
she was probably sad you did not play with her - or brought a treat
Ahhh man would I love to be able to do that! She reminds me of my cats (just a tad bit bigger) when she starts chirping/meowing and then running around.
And I feel the same way about the kids, especially when they start screaming at the animals and freaking them out.....and that's about the same time I leave
likely because she is trapped in a zoo.
nice shot though.
