Heron?

    I spotted these two at the pond in the cemetery today...I think they are herons???

    Not too sure what that is but I'm pretty sure it's not a Heron. I'm familiar with great blue herons and they're much like cranes. Long necks and legs.

    They appear to be Green Herons, a smaller cousin to the Great Blue Heron.

    Here is a Green Heron, Shem Creek, S.C., that I took last summer. We do have the great blue herons here as well, I just did not see any today, or the egrets.
